BTW: hearing your melodious voice is like putting on a warm blanket. 💜👍🏻 I feel blessed to have been brought up with “that voice” yet more importantly that wisdom and sensibility.
It’s too bad corporatized media has changed that arena into a bunch of automatons. Because of this, San Antonians and people everywhere are robbed of what future professional journalism looks like. And sounds like. Again, thank you!
You are exactly right Chris.. the spending priorities of our city leaders are clearly more about appearance and less about performance. How long will it take for one of the elected brainiacs to come up with some expensive remedy, that is just another obvious boondogle [remember they don't like to let any crisis go to waste], which they will surely promise is necessary to prevent unfortunate drownings like these in the future. They need a warm up anyway (and/or possible distraction from).. for their next biggie, which you mentioned in your last paragraph (which all of them are already drooling over).. building another playground for the Spurs. I guess they feel guilty for previously setting them up in the poorest poverty stricken area around (after the team decided they didn't like the Alamodump facility that WE also built for them). Its's no surprise our council members want to shaft visitors to our city even deeper.. and I imagine-that as they've done in the past-they will also be handing out TIFS like candy.
I was fine until you got to the end. We need the Project Marvel downtown. Judge Cyndi Taylor Krier saved the San Antonio Spurs but it is now time to get them back downtown where they belong.
Excellent report, Chris. Thank you.
