Excellent commentary! Texas now has one conservative Pitbull in the senate (Ted Cruz), and one deep state lap dog (Cornyn). It is long past the time for a change in the latter seat.
WELL SAID! There was a time when you could justify a vote for the incumbent as a strategy to maintain the "tribal knowledge" and committee chairmanships accorded the more senior members of Congress. The test for today's candidate should be whether s/he would be willing to "pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor" to uproot the blatant political thievery that replaced King George. John Cornyn might make that pledge. Might even believe it himself. But his actions don't portray a character strong enough to follow through.

He was so off-limits to us reporters back in the early 2000s, NEVER giving us quotes, NEVER taking a stand on an issue.
